My bassinet range is extensive and I am frequently asked if my sheets and mattress protectors will fit other bassinets. The short answer is; probably not. For prams in particular, the companies can’t seem to get a standard mattress size which is part of the reason I began the beast that is now Sarah Anne and Little Lion. So, which one do you choose? Here is a run down of my current range including links to the pram or bassinet for more information.
Bugaboo Cameleon
The Bugaboo Cameleon mattress is the same size for all generations of the pram. It has a rounded top and a squarer bottom. This pram is super popular – see more about it here.
Bugaboo Frog
The Bugaboo Frog mattress is similar in shape to the Cameleon but is slightly smaller. Overall the Frog is slightly smaller than the Cameleon. Bugaboo Frog prams are no longer available to buy new, but there are still plenty of second hand ones floating around.
Bugaboo Donkey
The Bugaboo Donkey has an unusual shape and is wider at the top than the bottom. The pram itself is what I describe as modular – use it as a single double with twins or with a toddler and baby. See more here.
Bugaboo Buffalo
The Bugaboo Buffalo is also wider at the top than the bottom, and has the largest mattress of the Bugaboo branded carrycots. The Buffalo is the Bugaboo all terrain model and gets some great reviews. See more here.
Baby Jogger City Select
The Baby Jogger City Select bassinet comes as a kit which attaches to the seat frame. It has equally rounded corners on top and bottom. I had this bassinet for my third baby and ended up buying an extra frame so I could swap between seat and bassinet easily. Have a look at it here
Baby Jogger Hard Bassinet
The Baby Jogger Hard Bassinet has an unusual figure 8 style mattress. It is designed to fit the City single series of prams. I purchased this bassinet for my fourth baby and squeezed it onto the top of my BJCS frame so I could gaze lovingly at my final baby (note this is not endorsed by the manufacturer and I recommend seeking advice from them before using it in this configuration).
Baby Jogger Deluxe Bassinet
The Baby Jogger Deluxe Bassinet is a tall egg shape. It attaches to the all the single Baby jogger prams and replaces the hard bassinet. See more about it here.
Baby Jogger Compact Bassinet
The Baby Jogger Compact Bassinet has a curved top and squarer bottom. It is a rather narrow bassinet but also quite long. It can be used on City Mini Single/Double or City Mini GT Single/Double. See more here.
UPPAbaby Bassinet
The UPPAbaby bassinet is the newest to my range; the mattress is rectangular with curved corners. UPPAbaby is an American company and the prams have some pretty neat features. You can read more about them here.
